Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m based just outside Nottingham but I love being at the coast or in the countryside (hiking or on a mountain bike!). I enjoy cinema, reading, art, history and philosophy. Also, travel is one of my interstes, and I’m currently thinking about somewhere hot and sunny after years of freezing snowboard trips!
What did you do before joining Forge?
Prior to Forge I worked in a range of organisations spanning different sectors as Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer and similar.
What drew you to work in tech?
Being into gaming as a teenager got me interested in computers early on so it grew from there.
What do you enjoy most from being part of the Forge team?
Working with approachable and friendly colleagues – it really does make a difference!
What does an ideal workday look like for you?
Learning and sharing with colleagues and being able to make tangible progress on projects with clear objectives.
What about your ideal day off?
Outdoors in the sun; could be biking fast flowing trails or walking along the coast in the sea breeze, sun glistening on the waves.
What one piece of tech has changed your life?
The internet. Being able to communicate globally so easily and share media and information anywhere at any time has been revolutionary.
What industry trend do you think will shape the future?
Advances in AI and robotics. But at the same time, I don’t want a world where everything is instant or automated. I think satisfaction and growth often come from an effort or wait for something.
